    Fees
Fees apply to all programs per term unless otherwise noted.
  • * Students can waive  the Health Insurance fee by demonstrating appropriate coverage.

** The University Services fee consolidates the previous University Services fee and Student Health Services fee.

    • This fee captures a range of services to support your time at The New School. Starting Fall 2019, students will also receive added conveniences such as lifetime access to e-transcripts and e-diplomas, and one replacement ID card (if lost or stolen).
    • The consolidated University Services fee applies to all students, with the following exceptions:
      • Masters and PhD students who had already been exempted from the Student Health Fee in 2018 - 2019 will pay a reduced consolidated fee of $240 in 2019 – 2020 to ease the financial impact
      • SENS-UAW members are eligible for a $600 University Services fee rebate per their contract

*** The Student Senate Fee applies to all matriculated students in all programs.

**** Beginning in Fall 2019, new students at both our New York and Paris campuses will pay a one-time Orientation fee of $150.

    • This fee helps to offset costs associated with beginning at The New School and participating in campus and college orientation programs.
    • Students enrolled prior to Fall 2019 will not pay an Orientation fee.
    • PhD students will not pay an Orientation fee.

***** International students beginning in Fall 2019 with an F-1 or J-1 visa will be assessed a $90 International Student Services fee per semester.

    • This fee supports the additional services international students require, such as I-20 and DS-2019 processing, OPT application assistance, and support for ensuring international student compliance with Federal regulations.
    • Students enrolled prior to Fall 2019 will not pay the International Student Services fee.
