Department of Liberal Studies Handbook (PDF)

    • Students from the Liberal Studies department critically explore and intensively examine the core issues of our time, establishing intellectual foundations that extend far beyond the classroom experience. Students continue their scholarship at prestigious universities or find employment in their fields of expertise.

Our master’s students have continued their studies at top universities, including Yale University, Harvard University, Columbia University, Northwestern University, and the University of Pennsylvania.

They have also found employment as researchers, writers, journalists, consultants, and managers at organizations like Artforum International and Tow Center for Digital Journalism, at media outlets like The New York Times and companies like Grove/Atlantic and Dartmouth Journal Services, and public, private, and university libraries and archives.
