Profile

I am a facilitator, storyteller, filmmaker, poet and emcee, energy worker, street medic, freedom dreamer, and possibly a temporally displaced griot.  My particular passion is for using narrative to engender empathy and inspire personal and political change.  

I believe in the “inescapable network of mutuality,” that “the body keeps the score,” and that “next time you ask yourself where hip hop is going, ask yourself ‘Where am I going?’”

My work revolves around repairing, restoring, and transforming that network.  In facilitation and education, through media arts and performance, and through mutual aid and solidarity actions, I’ma work to heal and forge connections that circumvent circumscribed relational modalities.

With 2+ decades of professional experience in the rapidly evolving field of digital cinema, I remain excited by the opportunities new technologies offer for telling stories in radical as well as familiar ways.
