Nicholas Chelko is a part-time lecturer at Parsons The New School for Design. He currently teaches Design Studio 4 in the School of Constructed Environments. His research interests focus on policy, finance, and design in both housing and the urban public realm.
Chelko holds a B.Arch from The Pennsylvania State University and a M.S. in Architecture and Urban Design from Columbia University. He has worked for Safdie Architects and as a team member with Michael Bell and Eunjeong Seong for the MoMA exhibit 'Foreclosed: Rehousing the American Dream.' He currently practices with Helpern Architects in New York City.
