Two renowned divisions have come together to form The New School for Public Engagement – The New School for General Studies and Milano The New School for Management and Urban Policy. The newly integrated and newly named division emphasizes the core values of democratic citizenship, social action, and cultural engagement that inspired The New School’s founding 92 years ago.

The New School for Public Engagement brings together professional, social, and cultural programs that stress learning in action. We connect theory to real-world practice, training students to address civic life, create new forms of culture, and respond to contemporary urban, social, and global needs.
