  • With one foot in the classroom and the other in the workplace, I bring a unique perspective to my classes at Parsons. I'm a graphic designer and arts educator, and have been teaching at Parsons since 1995. I have a BFA in Communication Design from Cooper Union and an MA in Art & Art Education from Teacher’s College, Columbia. I'm a recipient of the 2007 New School Distinguished University Teaching Award and a faculty representative on the New School Social Justice Committee. I led workshops for students and teachers at the Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum (The Poster Project and Classroom Activism: The Poster Project), and was Founding Director of the Saturday Career Workshop Program (1997 - 2007), a pre-college program sponsored by the Art Directors Club and the NYC Department of Education. I was also a Creative Consultant for Human Rights First (2004 - 2011) and the Innocence Project (2003 - 2005), for whom my Parsons students worked pro-bono, designing a new logo, stationary, signage, and a 32-page quarterly newsletter.
