  • Jose P. Chan is the Director of Retail Outlets and Planning for Roberto Cavalli. Prior to Roberto Cavalli, Jose spent over twenty years in the luxury goods sector having worked at Isaac Mizrahi Couture, Loro Piana, Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessey (Louis Vuitton, TAG Heuer, Moet and Chandon et al), and Compagnie Financiere Richemont SA (Cartier, Montblanc, Dunhill et al). He has international experience in buying, design, marketing, merchandising, planning, production, and store management. Additionally, he is an Adjunct Professor at Parsons The New School For Design and taught the Merchandising capstone FMM course at the Fashion Institute of Technology. Chan also taught Customer Relationship Management at Hong Kong Polytechnic University in China, as well as other executive education courses. He has lectured on Retailing and the Apparel industry at Columbia University (CBS), Cornell University (FSAD), New York University (Stern), and The University of Rochester (Simon). Chan regularly speaks at industry conferences and events. He serves on the Simon School Alumni Council. A native New Yorker, Jose is fluent in Spanish and Italian, and has studied French and Mandarin. Finally, he is working on a graduate retailing textbook with Fairchild Books a division of Conde Nast.
