Fast Track: Qualified applicants who wish to complete their design training in a short time should consider applying to the Fast Track program, which enables students to earn an AAS degree with 34 credits in one academic year (fall and spring semesters). To qualify for Fast Track, students must have completed 21 liberal arts credits (including 6 credits in English) and 10 studio arts credits (or, for Fashion Marketing applicants, 10 credits in business) from a regionally accredited undergraduate college or university. Students are not accepted to or rejected from Fast Track; it is merely an option open to students that meet these qualifications.
Please note that Fast Track is not available for Fashion Marketing Online or Graphic Design Online students.
International Students: International students may transfer only 15 liberal arts credits unless they have graduated from an English-language university. They can still finish the AAS degree in a single calendar year by earning required studio credits and/or English credits during an additional summer semester. Accepted students who meet this condition are not termed Fast Track.
Transfer Credits: All other applicants are called freshman transfers if they have completed college credits that will transfer into the AAS program but do not meet the requirements of Fast Track. The amount of time it will take an incoming AAS student to earn an associate’s degree depends on the number of credits both transferred and studied. The average AAS student earns the degree in two years.
Applicants who have completed a bachelor’s degree from an English-language college or university are automatically awarded 21 liberal arts credits to transfer into the program.
Fashion Marketing Online and Graphic Design Online students must have completed 21 liberal arts credits (including 6 credits in English) to apply.
Full-Time Study: 12 to 18 credits per semester.
Part-Time Study: Fewer than 12 credits per semester.
