ParsonsGlobal: Inaugural Multicast: Live Stream From the Parsons Fashion Benefit at Chelsea Piers

7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.

Parsons The New School for Design will kick off its distinctive ParsonsGlobal initiative with concurrent events around the world: in New York City, Tokyo, Japan, Seoul, South Korea, and La Romana, Dominican Republic. Celebrating student work and community support, the Global multicast will live stream the End of Year Benefit hosted at Chelsea Piers so as to engage our partners and friends from around the world to join the festivities of another successful academic year and to watch the newest designs of the school's graduating Fashion students on the end-of-year runways.

International participants will be linked up to the benefit via a live camera at the black tie event and linked to each other via a multi-language twitter feed to comment on and amplify the event's energy. Satellite locations will also provide an overview of Parsons today and of the ParsonsGlobal plan as it engages in ambitious co-locational projects during the remainder of 2011 and through 2012. The constitution of attendees will vary at each location, but they will be a mixture of Parsons alumni, students at affiliated schools, design professionals, business, fashion and media leaders, and anyone interested in engaging and supporting ParsonsGlobal.
