- 8:00 p.m.
Parsons and the Poltrona Frau Group North America, the world’s leading producer of luxury home furnishings, present an exhibition of work by Parsons product design students under the direction of Parsons faculty member and noted designer Andrea Ruggiero. Students were challenged to create concepts for furniture and environments that improve the experiential aspects of waiting, an activity that the average person is frequently engaged over the course of a lifetime. Students will consider new forms of furniture that address how people might spend their time “waiting” today and in the future. An opening reception will take place 5/14 from 6—9 pm. The judging of work that will be exhibited at the Showroom is open to the public and will take place 5/10.
This event runs from 5/14-5/17, each day from 12pm-8pm. This event is a part of the Parsons Festival 2011.
