  • Fashion Designer, Fashion Historian, Curator. Author Color in Fashion, 2011, Lectures on issues effecting fashion that arise from a heavily interdisciplinary approach. She sees contemporary fashion as being shaped by culture and at the same time a product of that culture. Her philosophical inquiry takes shape through fashion and how it happens. Kathryn's leather corsets from her signature label, are in the Costume Institute, Metropolitan Museum. Work featured in international publications including Vogue US, and Mexico, Harpers Bazaar, US and Italy, Women's Wear Daily, W, and New York Times Magazine. Clients include Madonna, Barneys, New York, Bergdorf Goodman, Geoffrey Beene, and has designed for Tahari, Holly Hunt, BASE, Miami Beach, and others. Lectures internationally on new narratives in fashion and leads workshops in advanced contemporary fashion design. Her company VERMILLIONmedia produces and curates fashion, art and visual culture.
