Part-time Assistant Professor
Susan Cottle is a painter who received her M.F.A. cum laude from The New York Academy of Art Graduate School of Figurative Art, and her B.F.A. from Montserrat College of Art. Susan currently teaches in SDS Foundation and New School for General Studies. She has taught at St. John's University, and at The New York Academy of Art. Teaching appointments in Italy have included Montserrat College of Art, Viterbo; St. John's University, Rome and Studio Art Centers International, Florence. Susan has also organized and taught semi-annual plein air painting workshops in New York, and Pinzolo, Italy. Ms. Cottle has exhibited in the Northeast and Asia. Recent exhibitions have included a solo show at St. John's University, Manhattan, a two-person show at Synagogue for the Arts, and group shows at Windham Fine Arts, The Hudson Guild, Dacia Gallery and The Painting Center. In 2010, Susan was awarded an Artist Residency with the National Park Service at Petrified Forest National Park, Arizona.
