Profile:

She has written and directed several short fiction and nonfiction films and has exhibited them internationally on the film festival circuit, including screenings at SXSW, Newport, Full Frame, Clermont-Ferrand, MadCat and SilverDOCS. Her films have been screened on the Sundance Channel, PBS, and the Independent Film Channel. Recent work includes a number of scripts in development with organizations such as ITVS (The Independent Television Service) and NYC production company Locomotive Films, and a web series, sparks-series.com. Recent awards include a 2005 Screenwriters' Colony fellowship and a 2008 IFP Grand Prize Award in Digital Filmmaking from Panasonic, awarded for an original screenplay. She previously taught at Duke University's Center for Documentary Studies and the Duke Program in Film and Video.
