Paul Ryan Associate Professor
Profile:Former McLuhan Fellow; his mentor in cybernetics was Gregory Bateson. Author of Cybernetics of the Sacred and Video Mind, Earth Mind: Art, Communications and Ecology. His video art has been shown in Japan, Turkey, Germany, Holland, France, Ecuador, and throughout the United States. Projects include the cybernetic design of a television channel dedicated to monitoring the ecology of a region, which was presented at MoMA and at the U.N. Conference on Sustainable Cities. The Smithsonian Institute is archiving his papers and tapes.
