Anezka Sebek's extensive professional experience in the film and television industry is the foundation for her career in education. She was one of the first faculty in the MFA DT and helped establish the Thesis curriculum as well as the narrative, animation and motion graphics tracks for both BFA and MFA. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Sociology of Media at The New School for Social Research. Her dissertation looks at the 21st Creative Economy and how it intersects with opportunities, or lack thereof, for women and children who live below the poverty line.
