COVID-19 Testing and Vaccination Policies
Faculty and staff can get over-the-counter tests through their Aetna benefits. This coverage is part of all Aetna healthcare plan options for eligible plan participants. The federal administration is restarting the free at-home COVID-19 test program,
permitting each American household to order up to four free tests this winter from covidtests.gov. Use the city’s COVID-19 Test Site Finder to find the no-cost city-run testing site most convenient to you. The website includes a search filter that enables you to find the NYC Test & Treat Corps’ mobile Test-to-Treat units and free at-home test distribution sites.
Masks are strongly recommended in indoor public settings on campus, particularly in classrooms. Masks help mitigate increased risk for respiratory illnesses including COVID-19, flu, and RSV. Masks are always required in Student Health Services,
Student Disability Services, COVID-19 testing sites, and when directed by a medical professional. Free masks remain available at vending machines throughout campus.
All students, faculty, and staff must be fully vaccinated, including a booster dose as soon as they are eligible (with the exception of those who
receive approved medical or religious exemptions).
If you test positive for COVID-19, please upload a copy of your positive test to the Student Health Services portal and contact the Benefits Department at [email protected]. You will need to isolate for five days, where day 1 is the day after testing positive. On day 4 of the isolation period, one of the benefits COVID-19 team members will contact you
to discuss your return. You are not required to retest in order to regain access to campus once the isolation period ends.
