The New School recognizes Local 7902 Academics Come Together/ACT-UAW for all part-time faculty employed by the university, with the exception of part-time faculty teaching at The New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music.
All employees who either belong in this union or supervise such employees must thoroughly review the contract between the university and Local 7902.
ACT-UAW, Local 7902, and the university concluded negotiations and signed a Memorandum of Agreement on March 29, 2015. The Memorandum of Agreement signed on March 29, 2015, lists the agreed-upon changes to the contract that expired on August 31, 2009, and the 2009 Memorandum of Agreement. The changes from the 2015 Memorandum of Agreement and the 2009 Memorandum of Agreement will be incorporated into a new agreement, which will replace the one currently posted here.
