• Megan Kielty

      Megan brings experience in leadership development and student-centered programming and advising to her role at SLI. Before joining The New School as Director of Student Leadership and Involvement, she served as Assistant Director of Leadership and Professional Development in the Academic and Career Development Center at Fairfield University and, before that, was Director of Student Activities at Elms College. Megan has a BA in Sociology and Human Development and Family Studies from the University of Connecticut and an MS in College Student Personnel from the University of Rhode Island.

      Jacinta Avery

      Jacinta is our Assistant Director of Student Organizations and Activities. She gained a variety of experiences in student and departmental event management and program development from her roles at Temple University and Florida International University. Jacinta holds an MS in Higher Education Administration from Florida International University and a BS in Journalism from Bowling Green State University.

      Rafael Gonzalez

      Rafael is the Assistant Director of Student Activities and Leadership Involvement. He comes to us from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, where he worked to develop social justice initiatives and support multicultural efforts to create a more inclusive campus environment for students of underrepresented backgrounds. He received his MSEd in Higher Education at Indiana University, Bloomington, and his BS in Psychology from Florida State University.

      George Saad

      George has worked in Student Success at The New School since 2007. He received an MA in Media Studies from The New School in 2012 and completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Delaware. As the Senior Office Manager, George is the person to come to with questions about any of SLI's services, including how to request funding for an event or how to get discounts to movies, sports games, Broadway shows, or other activities in New York City.

      Angelica Wilson

      Before joining The New School as our Office Manager, Angelica served as an admissions counselor at the University of Maryland, University College. Angelica previously worked in the human services field, assisting in the areas of substance abuse and therapeutic foster care. She received her MA in Family and Child Studies from Montclair State University and her BA in Psychology from Hampton University. Angelica can provide information on joining or starting student organizations, as well as workshops and trainings.

      Brittney McFadden

      Brittney McFadden is the Assistant Director of Recreation and Campus Activities. She comes to us from SUNY Purchase where she was a Residence Coordinator and where she gained valuable experience in teaching and advising first-year students. She received her her Master's Degree in Higher Education from Virginia Tech and her Bachelor's degree from Alfred University where she spent four years working in the Athletic Facilities as an event assistant.
