Discounts

The Office of Student Leadership and Involvement offers a limited number of discount tickets to sporting events, Broadway plays, and other shows and performances. The office has provided tickets for Avenue Q, The Book of Mormon, Stomp, Brooklyn Nets games, the Bronx Zoo, and many other events and venues. Check the online store regularly to see what tickets are currently available.

Museums and Cultural Institutions

Museum of Modern Art	Current full-time students receive one free ticket each time they visit MoMA when they present their New School ID cards (newcards) at the lobby information desk. Free day-of tickets are available. MoMA Film Tickets: Students can receive free same-day film tickets for themselves when they present their New School ID cards (newcards). Tickets can be obtained at the main lobby information desk seven days a week from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. (closed Christmas and Thanksgiving). Film tickets can also be obtained one week before a screening for a $2.00-per-ticket service fee. The Film Desk opens one hour before the first screening of the day.
MoMA PS1	Current full-time students receive one free ticket each time they visit MoMA PS1 when they present their New School ID cards (newcards) at the ticket counter.

Theaters and Performances

AMC or Regal Movies	Full-time degree-seeking New School students are eligible to purchase discounted AMC or Regal ticket vouchers online through the Student Leadership and Involvement Web store.
Theater Extras	Theater Extras is a resource for complimentary tickets to the performing arts. Get 30% off first-year dues for either the Marquis or Premier Plan using the code TENEWSCHOOL30. Make sure to enter the Coupon Code in the field on the registration page.

Transportation

New Jersey Transit

New School Students: Get a 25% Discount on NJ Transit Monthly Passes. The New School-NJ Transit Partnership allows full-time undergraduate and graduate degree students to receive a 25% discount on monthly NJ Transit passes for rail, bus, or light rail service when they enroll online through NJ Transit's Quik-Tik program. To enroll in Quik-Tik: Eligible full-time students will see a link after logging in to my.newschool.edu; scroll to the bottom of the page to see the NJ Transit Tab. This is how full-time status is verified electronically to NJ Transit. When you sign up, the price of the monthly pass you order will automatically reflect the 25% student discount and will be charged to your credit card. During your enrollment, you will create a Quik-Tik user name and password so that you can view your account directly from the NJ Transit Quik-Tik log-in. To contact Quik-Tik, call 866-QUIK-TIK.

Important Information Regarding the Quik-Tik Program: You must be a degree-seeking student registered for a full-time course load in the current semester. You must sign up by the tenth of the month to receive your monthly pass for the next month. A non-refundable $3.00 processing fee will be applied each month in addition to the fare for the pass. After you enroll in Quik-Tik, you will receive a new monthly pass in the mail every month unless you choose to suspend your account. If you choose to suspend your monthly pass (during winter or summer break, for example), you will need to reactivate your account through MyNewSchool. Students who participate in this program agree that the monthly pass is for their exclusive use only. Each student is eligible to receive one discounted monthly pass per month. Passes are non-transferable. Any abuse or purposeful deception will result in cancellation of the student's monthly pass account, and the student will not be able to participate in the program in the future. This will also apply to any other student who is knowingly involved. There are no discounts available for the NJ PATH train or the MTA (New York City subway and buses, Long Island Rail Road, or Metro-North Railroad).

Special Deal for New School Students: Application fee waived (a $25.00 value). New annual memberships are only $15.00. The Ford Student Driving Incentive is a $1.00-per-hour discount on any Ford vehicle reserved. Example rates for Ford Focus Hatchback, Ford Focus Sedan, and Ford Escape: $9.50-$15.25.
