Axelle Kurban (b. Beirut, Lebanon, 2003) currently lives and works in Paris, France. Axelle's research-based, autoethnographic practice explores themes of identity, queerness, culture, and heritage through a Middle Eastern lens, using storytelling to highlight marginalized voices. With a strong foundation in art curating, research, and graphic design, honed through her involvement in contemporary initiatives, art exhibitions, and galleries across Paris and Beirut, Axelle focuses on curatorial practices spanning textiles, videography, installation work, and sound design. Kurban’s multidisciplinary approach intricately weaves personal and collective narratives, challenging cultural norms within the diasporic context. Eager to deepen her expertise, Axelle is excited to continue evolving her career in curatorial and creative directions, with a focus on innovative, immersive storytelling.
