Thesis Title: Cold Salt - Warped Remembrances
Pia Bertola’s thesis work is centered around the idea of memory as a non-linear and subjective form. The form this exploration takes is a series of videos and prints that explore her attempt to demonstrate various versions of memory recall, highlighting the use of sensory and emotional data as the core of our internal psyche. Through this work, Bertola attempts to embrace this concept, questioning how it can open us up to the possibility of how we collectively share our individual experiences, and understand each other as autonomous beings.
