• Marisa LoBianco, Senior Director for Career Services and Experience

      Marisa is focused on providing students with exciting experiential and employment opportunities. With more than 15 years of career counseling experience throughout New York City, she engages students in a holistic career development process with an emphasis on self-reflection. Marisa holds a BA in Psychology from Manhattanville College and an MS in School Counseling from Brooklyn College, is a certified professional résumé writer, and has taught in the graduate School of Professional Counseling and Leadership at Brooklyn College.

      Kevin Bukreev, Assistant Director for Undergraduate Career Services

      Kevin has more than ten years of professional experience in post-secondary education in areas such as international student studies, admissions, student activities, orientation, and academic advising. Kevin is originally from Russia and has been living in New York City for many years. He earned his undergraduate degree at Baruch College and is pursuing an MS in Strategic Design and Management at Parsons.

      Tatiana Gaona, Experiential Opportunities Coordinator

      Tatiana focuses on providing students with the resources needed to succeed in their internships. She has more than eight years of professional experience in higher education, including five in career services. Taty earned her undergraduate degree at Moody Bible Institute in Chicago and holds an MDiv with a counseling emphasis from Westminster Theological Seminary and an MA in Higher Education Administration from William Paterson University. She is originally from Ecuador and speaks both Spanish and English.

      Stavroula Koinis, Employer Relations Manager

      Stavroula previously worked as a career advisor and brings with her unique experience within the foster care and the criminal justice systems. She holds a BA in Psychology from Barnard College and an MSW from Hunter College. Stavroula is excited to apply her diverse experience to assist students at The New School.

      Majid Hassabu, International Student Career Coordinator

      Majid's role centers on assisting international students with obtaining authorization for off-campus internships and employment opportunities, including CPT (Curricular Practical Training). With five years in international test prep and admissions, he plans to advance his career in higher education by working with international students. Majid graduated with a BA in Business Administration back in his hometown in Sudan. He moved to the United States in 2012.

      Austin Cartagena, Senior Office Assistant

      Austin previously worked as an assistant event planner in the hospitality industry. He earned his BA in International Relations and Spanish at SUNY New Paltz, where he also worked as a resident assistant and orientation leader. With a background in both social justice and hospitality, Austin is thrilled to help students at The New School bridge the gap between their educational and their professional endeavors.
