COVID-19 Community Guide
Review the COVID-19 Community Guide to become familiar with university protocols for accessing campus spaces, living in the residence halls, and travel.
Current Address and Emergency Contact Information
All new students must provide their current address and emergency contact information. To update this information, log in to MyNewSchool and visit the Me tab, where you will find links to "Update
Student Address Information" and "Update Emergency Contact Information" in the Student Information portlet. If this information changes, please return to MyNewSchool to update it.
New School Alerts
The university uses this communication system to send messages to cell phones (text and voice), email addresses, and landlines during an urgent situation affecting The New School. Visit the Services tab in MyNewSchool and find the New School Alerts portlet to confirm that your contact information is correct.
Immunizations
Students planning to live in the residence halls while taking online-only classes are required to submit proof of immunity to meningitis ACWY, measles, mumps, and rubella before they are permitted to move in. Residential students are not eligible to decline
these requirements unless they have a valid medical or religious exemption on file.
Students who are living off campus and have registered for online-only classes are not required to submit the immunization form but are strongly encouraged
to do so. Please be advised that if you begin to take classes on campus, you will be required to submit proof of immunity to measles, mumps, and rubella and meet the meningitis requirement before attending classes.
Download the immunization form on the Student Health Services website and carefully read the instructions. Submit the completed form and required
documentation to shs@newschool.edu by January 15, 2021, and verify that you have read the material distributed by The New School about meningococcal disease.
If you have already submitted your immunization records and received confirmation that they are complete, no further action is necessary. For more information, visit the Student Health Services website.
