Congratulations on your decision to join our community, and welcome to The New School! New Student Orientation for the fall 2025 semester will be held August 18–22, 2025.
Registration for Orientation will open on July 7, 2025. You will receive communications from our First Year Experience and Orientation team throughout the first few weeks of June.

Orientation introduces new students and families to all the resources and opportunities available to New School students as they start their journey at the university. Students will meet the faculty and staff who are here to support them and begin to build academic and social communities with classmates from around the world.
Orientation is required for all students in on-campus programs and is optional for students enrolled in online-only programs.
