Faculty

The New School Languages faculty comprises a diverse group of scholars and creative practitioners whose research interests and work experience span a wide range of fields in and beyond the teaching and learning of languages. Our Languages faculty is composed of experts in language pedagogy, teaching methodology, applied linguistics, media, cultural studies, and fields related to design, the visual and performing arts, and international affairs. Our language section coordinators and advisors can help you assess language proficiency in any of our offerings once you take the self-placement exam, which is available virtually through the Languages office.
