I am an interdisciplinary artist from China and my practice explores questions about mental health, body, and home. These questions touch various psychological diseases and childhood traumas that insinuate systemic oppression. In the process of making art, I pay attention to emotion, vulnerability, and subconsciousness. Illusion and memory are sources of my creativity. My previous working experience in K-5 education and the art therapy projects conducted in elementary school are intertwined into my artworks. I also use strategies that encompass theater, humor, and interview acquired from my graduate study in Indonesian literature and drama.
