  • Our undergraduategraduate, and student teams host a wide range of admission events throughout the year. You can learn all about our programs, the process of applying or transferring, preparation of a portfolio or audition repertoire, and life inside our classrooms and on our New York City campus.

Our Welcome Center building is located at 72 Fifth Avenue, on the corner of 13th Street, and is currently open to external visitors. Before visiting us in person, please familiarize yourself with the university's health and safety protocols:

    • All visitors must provide proof of full COVID-19 vaccination—including a booster if eligible.
    • The New School has partnered with CLEAR to use Health Pass, an online tool that safely and simply provides proof of COVID-19 vaccination. Before coming to campus, download the CLEAR app and enroll for free.
    • Masking inside all university buildings is required.

For the summer term, our in-person offerings are limited to pre-scheduled admission counseling appointments and campus tours accommodating a maximum of nine students with one guest each. Visitors without appointments may interact with Welcome Center staff in the Welcome Center lobby.

Those interested in learning more about our academic programs, admission requirements, or campus life are invited to connect online with a Welcome Center student assistant through our Welcome Center Virtual Desk. Virtual desk hours are 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. EST Monday through Friday. No appointment is necessary.

If you are unable to schedule an in-person tour, we encourage you to take our virtual tour and connect with us through one of our many additional online events.

  • Directions to Campus

Parsons tours, information sessions, and workshops begin at the Welcome Center, which is located at 72 Fifth Avenue (on the corner of 13th Street and Fifth Avenue) in New York City's Greenwich Village. Most students use public transportation to get around campus — we encourage visitors to do the same whenever possible. Use the links below to plan your visit to and around New York City.

    Driving

Traffic on Fifth Avenue is one way southbound; traffic on 13th Street is one way westbound. For a guide to New York City parking, visit NYC.com. There are several pay parking garages along 13th Street and in the area. There are also on-street parking meters nearby, but on-street parking is scarce on weekdays.
