    Vatican 3
    Vatican 3 probes the connections between profit-oriented design and Catholic iconography. As the quintessential symbol in the visual language of Catholicism, the cross serves as the focal point of this project. In its ubiquity, both in religious contexts and in popular culture, the cross demonstrates how overexposure of an icon can dilute its value or significance and calls to mind corporate branding. In this project, I explore the way commercialism influences religion and vice versa by examining the boundaries of acceptability in relation to the Catholic symbols that we encounter in our daily lives.
