    Advising

ASSES ASSESS 2014 is an investigation into the absence of a bodily presence in contemporary notions of experience. It is based on a personal investment in languages as an apparatus within the constructed barriers and access points in between the digital and physical world.

In this piece, Smith utilizes political coding, Comic Sans, Dyslexia and digital media to amplify the degrees to which our prejudices alienate us from forming a truly connected investiture and understanding of subject - in this instance, the rise of pro-homophobic legislation in Russia.
