Where were you born, and where did you grow up?
I was born in Spain but lived most of my life in Indonesia and Singapore.
What languages do you speak?
I am fluent in English and Spanish, but I also speak a little Bahasa Indonesian. I am currently learning French.
What is your favorite course or project?
One of my favorite completed projects so far was the Balenciaga and Reí Kawakubo project. However, I am honestly very excited for the upcoming projects this semester.
How has Paris inspired you in your projects and classes?
Paris has inspired me through the people I’ve met, the uniqueness of everyone and all the ways to connect despite having completely different interests. Both Parsons Paris and the city have inspired me to cultivate an interest in many different subjects,
such as interior design and product design.
Which one (or more) of your internships did you find most helpful for your studies?
Up to this point, I think the internship that helped me the most was when I went to New York last summer to work for the Japanese label ADEAM. It was a tough and enriching experience. It has helped me a lot with all the work I’ve been doing.
Do you have a hobby?
Yes! I play polo whenever I get time on the weekends, as I used to play very frequently before moving, and recently I’ve been doing a lot of cycling.
What advice would you give incoming students?
I think the best advice I can give students when they start their studies is to make sure to explore Paris and create a life outside of the normal routine and schedule. It’s important to create a balance between studies and leisure. Paris has so much
to offer and so much to explore, and often the only way to see amazing places is by getting to know people and maintaining an open mind.
Anything else you'd like to share?
I hope all the hardships that we have experienced this year will bring us all closer together, and I hope everyone is staying safe and healthy.
What are you most looking forward to learning or experiencing during your remaining time at Parsons Paris?
I’m looking forward to working on my thesis collection and finding good opportunities and internships.
