    Yong Andersson

    Profile

    Yong Andersson is the designer for her own collection of conceptual hand tailored jackets. The collection incorporates interdisciplinary fields transcending illustration and costume history, gender and crafted fashion. The collection is presented through lectures and performances, cross-collaborated with artists and designers. Andersson's teaching record includes theory, methodology, research and practice from drawing; design processing bridging visual illustration; Postgraduate Contemporary Fashion Design; and MBA Global Fashion Media.

    She holds a BA in Fashion from Paris American Academy and L’Institut des Arts Appliquées, Paris and a BA in Art History from Uppsala University, Sweden. She has worked with trend forecaster Li Edelkoort, for haute couture, and for high-end designers including Sibilla Pavenstedt and Marcel Magongiu. She has collaborated as a writer and coordinator on ten books about young artists' ateliers, homes and vintage boutiques from Stockholm, Copenhagen and Paris for the Tokyo based gallery and publisher, Paumes Editions.
