    Sarah McRae

    Profile

    Sarah McRae’s career has been centered on creating ecosystems, tools and opportunities for innovation to emerge from unexpected places. 

    McRae has an expertise in microfinance and economic development. In her work, McRae combines financial technology, user-centered design and the principles of data democracy to create digital systems that enable more resilient livelihoods for the end users. She has led multiple system-shifting projects in this area, particularly in Madagascar, Tanzania and Mozambique. 

    McRae is passionate about education and creating experiential learning methodologies in both online and in-person environments. She has deeply explored the transmission of innovation methodology in intercultural environments during her work with PLACE - an experimental project that explores the opportunities for innovation and growth that migration brings to host societies.
