LAB, the creative studio of Laura A. Buxton, is an independent hub for artistry and innovation. Specializing in artistic direction and design, LAB’s expertise spans interior decoration, image styling, and fashion trend analysis. With a focus on individuality and a fresh, vibrant style, LAB is dedicated to producing work that pushes creative boundaries and inspires new perspectives.
Laura’s creative journey began in London, where she studied Fashion Illustration and Promotion at the Surrey Institute of Art and Design. This foundation led her to Paris, where she attended Penninghen and earned a Master’s degree with distinction in Graphic Design, Advertising, Multimedia, and Visual Communication at Maryse Eloy. She also holds another Master’s degree in Artistic Direction and Brand Strategy. Originally of English nationality, Laura has lived in various European countries but ultimately chose Paris as her creative base.
With over 16 years of experience, LAB has collaborated with prominent design agencies, led freelance projects, and contributed as an educator at institutions such as Sup de Pub, MODART International, ECV, LISAA, and Efet Studio Créa. Her teaching spans Master’s and Bachelor’s programs, focusing on topics like artistic direction, branding, visual communication, and trend forecasting. Beyond teaching, she mentors students, serves as a jury member, and fosters dynamic, inclusive environments for creative growth.
Since 2006, LAB has delivered projects for a diverse range of clients, including Western Digital, Yahoo, Nikon, Jil Sander, Monoprix, and Les Néréides. Combining strategic thinking with vibrant artistry, her work reflects a deep understanding of consumer insights and trend forecasting, resulting in innovative and impactful designs that resonate across industries.
