Johannes is an independent consultant focusing on innovation, brand building, strategic development and digital acceleration in the luxury and lifestyle sector. He is also a Venture Partner working closely with a number of VCs in between Paris and New York.
Dutch/British, Johannes has lived in 12 countries on 5 continents and is now firmly based in Paris, with his French wife and two young daughters.
He has had a rich 20+ year career based in Paris, London and Hong Kong working for large global corporations, scale-ups and as an entrepreneur. Starting in marketing and communication at Ogilvy & Mather, then business development at Frieze Art Fair, followed by a boutique management consulting firm before doing his MBA at London Business School and Hong Kong University. On completing his MBA he remained in Hong Kong and founded MomentuM consulting - accompanying small luxury companies into the Chinese market. He then returned to Paris to work at Clergerie as Chief Marketing Officer, then founded Ikigai Global - an online platform with content and ecommerce focussing on Wellness, before joining Puig to lead and launch the Innovation department as Global Head of Innovation and finally moved to EY Fabernovel as Managing Director Luxury and Co-Lead NewTech focusing on accompanying luxury groups such as Hermès, LVMH, Kering, Richemont, Jacquemus... in their digital transformation, customer experience strategy, NewTech (blockchain/AI) integration & optimisation as well as ESG roadmaps.
He is passionate about luxury, culture, tech, innovation, wellness and horse riding.
