A lawyer by training, Géraldine Blanche is currently a PhD candidate in Intellectual Property Law at the Sciences Po Law School in Paris and an associate researcher at the Bibliothèque Nationale de France. Her research focuses on intellectual property strategies in the fashion industry.
Blanche holds a double Maîtrise degree in French and Common Law and a master’s degree in Comparative Law from the Université Paris X. She is also the recipient of an LL.M postgraduate law degree in Intellectual Property Law from the George Washington University Law School in Washington D.C. Blanche completed her professional training at the Versailles bar school.
As a law practitioner, Blanche worked for international law firms in Luxembourg and Paris, focusing on commercial and intellectual property disputes and advising fashion industry clients. This position helped develop her keen interest in the interplay between fashion, law, and business and strengthened her resolve to make legal theoretical concepts accessible to fashion and design creatives. Blanche has been teaching fashion law and business since 2011.
