Bridget O’Rourke is an artist, designer, and educator based in Paris. Her teaching focuses on the creative process, art and design methodologies, and transdisciplinary collaboration. She served as the chair of Foundation (1998–2008) and as academic director for Parsons Paris (2007–2009) and director of Parsons Europe (2010–2013) for Parsons School of Design.
Bridget is an internationally exhibited abstract painter whose work engages with questions of conflict, balance, reciprocity, negotiation, and resolution. In her video work, she explores the aesthetics of destructive processes linked to the climate crisis. She is a co-director and design consultant for the architecture firm Studio Andrew Todd, based in London. Bridget has an MFA from the University of Pennsylvania and a BA in French Literature from the University of Maryland. She also studied architecture at University of the Arts Philadelphia.
