  • The University Learning Center (ULC) is dedicated to providing academic support to The New School’s diverse student population through one-on-one tutoring sessions, workshops, and more. Our primary goal is to help students become stronger and more independent learners, so that they may be successful in achieving their academic goals.

Individual tutoring sessions are offered in the following areas: general and graduate-level writing, computer programming and software, math and economics, ESL services, oral presentations, and time management.

During the spring 2022 semester, all of our tutoring appointments take place online. Students schedule tutoring appointments on WCONLINE. If, however, you are unable to find a time that works with your schedule, email us at learningcenter@newschool.edu and we can help you set up an appointment.

For tips for approaching the semester, we've put together a spring learning strategies guide to help you make the most of your courses, as well as videos with tips for preparing for your online classes in advancetime management, being engaged and staying connected, and learning to learn.

We are available to answer any questions you have and look forward to working with you and helping you in any way that we can!
