International Student and Scholar Services participates in International Student Week (IEW), an initiative developed by the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education to promote programs that prepare Americans for leadership in the global economy and attract future leaders from abroad to study, learn, and share their experiences in the United States.

    IEW Photo Contest

The most popular International Education Week event at The New School is the photo contest. The 2014 contest theme was "Passport to the World." Students, faculty, and staff were encouraged to submit photos of people, places, and things relating to the theme. During the week before IEW, students voted for their favorite pictures at ballot boxes set up on campus and online. At the start of IEW, an awards ceremony was held to honor the favorites and showcase all the photos submitted to the contest. A total of 112 photos were submitted this year!

Check out the 2014 photo contest winners, as selected by the New School community. To view all the amazing submissions, please click here (Google Drive). To those who participated—thank you and congratulations!
