The New School accepts credit card and debit payments only through the online service PayPath. This service is accessible through the Make a Payment link on the Student section of my.newschool.edu.
Credit card payments are not accepted over the phone or in person. If you choose to use a credit card to pay your bill, you will be assessed a convenience fee of 2.85 percent
each time a payment is made.
The convenience fee is charged by the third-party processor, PayPath, to cover the cost of processing credit/debit card payments. The university does not receive any part of this convenience fee. Since the convenience fee is assessed by PayPath, it is
important to note that the charge will not appear on your student account. In addition, this convenience fee is nonrefundable, even if the related payment to The New School is refunded.
This decision was driven by the service charges imposed by credit card providers, which have become prohibitive for the daily operations of the university. The university is aware of the convenience of credit and debit cards and will continue to accept
these forms of payment, but only through PayPath. Outlined below are alternative payment methods that allow you to avoid any convenience fees. We urge students to take advantage of the ACH payment (eCheck) option, as there are no additional
costs.
To expedite your payment, we encourage students and/or parents to make payments online at my.newschool.edu for timely, accurate, and secure posting.
