  • The New School Master’s in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (MA TESOL) program is designed to accommodate aspiring and working English language teachers anywhere in the world. The entire curriculum is available online, giving students the option of completing the degree online or taking a combination of online and on-campus courses.

    Online courses take place in a state-of-the-art environment based on the popular Canvas interface. You can access classes 24/7 from anywhere in the world where there’s a computer, a browser, and an Internet connection.     Preview the MA TESOL Online Environment

    Experience The New School’s online learning environment for yourself via the MA TESOL Online Preview, which allows you to explore the main features of asynchronous distance learning and gives you access to a discussion board for online conversations with other prospective students and members of the MA TESOL faculty and staff.

    To preview an online course, log into Canvas

    1. Click on the link: “Need a Canvas Account?”
    2. On the sign-up page, select “I’m A Student”
    3. You will be asked to provide the following to make an account:
      • Join Code: B89GKD
      • Name: Enter your full name
      • Username: Use your email as your username
      • Create a password

    After creating an account, you will be able to enter the MA TESOL online course.

To apply to any of our undergraduate programs (except the Bachelor's Program for Adults and Transfer Students and Parsons Associate of Applied Science programs) complete and submit the Common App online.

Undergraduate Adult Learners

To apply to any of our Bachelor's Program for Adults and Transfer Students and Parsons Associate of Applied Science programs, complete and submit the New School Online Application.

Graduates

To apply to any of our Master's, Doctoral, Professional Studies Diploma, and Graduate Certificate programs, complete and submit the New School Online Application.
