Learning Outcomes

Learning outcomes are the knowledge, skills, and attitudes students are expected to develop through a particular educational experience. The faculty of every degree program at The New School have developed a set of outcomes that identify key aspects of learning all students completing the program should be able to demonstrate. These outcomes are used in the development of program curricula and serve as the basis for assessment of student learning. Every program regularly assesses how well students have achieved each outcome in order to maintain the program’s quality and continue to make improvements.
