    Thai Wellness Centre
The main goal of this project was to create a space that would provide an opportunity for the locals of Ban San Si to practice the art of Thai medicine, especially because the village does not currently have its own medical center. Unlike Western medicine and healthcare practices, traditional Thai medicine is heavily influenced by the mind-body connection and treatment that combines natural elements like herbal medicine, yoga, meditation, and Thai massage. These functions are incorporated throughout the project. The traditions of herbal medicine and ayurveda are perpetuated through the herb and flower gardens in the courtyard, providing resources for making medicine. Additionally, there is a shop where readymade medicine can be bought by locals and foreigners to generate revenue for the wellness center. There is also a kitchen and dining space where people can gather and share meals, creating a sense of community. Most of the spaces can have multiple functionalities, allowing them to transform and fit the needs of the local people.
