Beyond the Obvious: Stories from the 6th Sense is a project that explores women’s intuition as a powerful, often overlooked form of perception. It consists of a book, a portrait series, and an interactive mini-exhibition called The 6th Room.
The idea emerged from conversations with my friends—strong, intuitive women—about moments when we felt something before we could explain it. I wanted to create a space where those quiet internal signals could be acknowledged.
The book is designed to look like a delicate artifact. It features pearlescent pink-and-gold pages, a holographic vinyl cover that reflects light like fractured glass, and portraits of women with their eyes closed, deep in thought. Alongside the images are anonymous handwritten notes from women reflecting on their experiences with intuition.
The 6th Room is an immersive exhibition where visitors use their own sense of intuition to navigate the space. It is dimly lit, filled with subtle clues and an atmosphere that seems slightly off—just enough to encourage further observation. Large-scale body and head portraits fill the space, portraying women in the act of perceiving or in a state of uncertainty. The experience is designed to make people slow down, question, and notice what they often overlook.
Altogether, this project is about validating the unseen and unspoken—bringing to light the emotional intelligence and instinct that women quietly rely on every day.
