• Martin Prelle-Tworek


    Martin has been a part-time faculty member in the School of Fashion since 2014. He teaches menswear and construction-based courses across both the BFA Fashion Design and Associate’s Fashion Design programs. As an educator, Martin uses the finesse of custom bespoke stitching techniques to train the visual acuity of his students thereby encouraging them to develop their unique design sense.

    Martin has additionally been adjunct faculty at SUNY Purchase College, where he taught menswear and costume construction, and Southern Oregon University, where he taught dance and theater.

    Professionally, Martin is a menswear master tailor and has been a dresser for an incredible array of stage performances, including a number of Broadway,Metropolitan Opera and NYCBallet shows where he has worked in increasingly high-level capacities as a swing, assistant and lead dresser respectively. Currently, he is full time dresser at Pretty Woman on Broadway.

    He worked for many years as a dancer, costumer, dresser and instructor at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival.

    Martin holds an M.Sc. in Dance from the University of Oregon where his research focused on the interrelationship of costume and choreography. He additionally holds a B.Sc. in Theatre Arts from the University of Nebraska.
