    Associate Professor of Strategic Management and Design

    Profile:

    Christian Schneider has a background in strategic design consulting - he worked as a designer for Studio De Lucchi and as a program leader for IDEO, building and running comprehensive consulting programs. Guiding IDEO in Milan he collaborated with DeLoitte Italy exploring synergies between design and business consulting. As an academician, he has run Studio projects for the Polytechnic University in Milan (MFA Strategic Design), for the IED Milan (BA Industrial Design), for Zeppelin University (MBA) and the HFG Pforzheim (MA Creative Direction). He was a visiting Professor at Carleton University Ottawa (Faculty of Engineering and Design), and held lectures and workshops at the btk Berlin, Art Center, Stanford University, Domus Academy, the ESDI in Rio amongst others. He also works as a career advisor and executive mentor addressing challenges in product-service-systems, culture and organizational design, and the integration and orchestration of innovation competencies in corporate structures. Clients include Ariston, BBDO, Breda, EBS, Ferrari, Fraunhofer Institut, Indesit, Deutsche Telekom, Deutsche Bank, FSB, Mauser office, Motorola, Siemens.

    Christian joined the School of Design Strategies in July 2011 as an Associate Professor for Strategic Management and Design and has taught Service Design in the BFA Intergrated Design, Studio courses at the BBA Design and Management, the MFA Fashion Design and Society, he has supervised Thesis projects at the MFA Transdisciplinary Design and he teaches the design research and design strategy studio at the MS Design and Management for which he designed the consecutive syllabi. He reviewed the BBA program, represented the SDS at the Parsons Faculty Council, served at the Senate and was elected to represent the Senate at the University budget committee in 2017.
