Caroline Simonelli is a Lebanese/American designer who teaches fashion design at Parsons the New School for Design in New York. Before teaching, Caroline had a long career as a fashion designer in women’s dress apparel. Along with her own line of volume and couture collection, Large Sizes for QVC, Bloomingdales and Saks Fifth Avenue, she was also headdress designer at Liz Claiborne and head collection designer at Mollie Parnis New York. Caroline travels from New York to Beirut twice a year to teach at Creative Space Beirut, a free fashion design school in Lebanon. Caroline is also the designer of CSB RTW brand.
She has designed women's clothes for 25 years before she teamed up with her late husband, Don Simonelli in 1990. In 1990, the Simonellis started their own company,designing evening wear that was extraordinary for both beauty and quality, bais-cut dresses that floated, and hand pleated dresses of silk Jersey. She has been teaching at FIT since 2002: 4th year studio methods for thesis, advanced creative draping, American Couture, Haute Couture and made to measure: sportswear, soft draping, special sizes, plus and petite.
