Brittany Dickinson is a designer with a decade of experience in the fashion industry. She is passionate about sustainability education, both for students and working professionals. She believes designers have a responsibility to address the social and environmental implications of every step of the creative process, from sourcing to end of use. Systems thinking, disruptive design, and social impact serve as the backbone for her teaching, and she is proud to be Affiliated Faculty with the Tishman Environment and Design Center at The New School. Brittany is the Parsons faculty lead for UNLEASH Innovation Lab and an international expert for the Youth Fashion Summit; both organizations focus on creating solutions for the Sustainable Development Goals. She usually divides her time between teaching, designing, and consulting for FABSCRAP, a non-profit textile recycling organization. Brittany holds a Master of Arts in Design Research, Writing and Criticism from the School of Visual Arts and a Bachelor of Science in Fashion Design from the University of Cincinnati’s College of Design, Architecture, Art and Planning.
