Assistant Professor of Environmental Technologies
Arta Yazdanseta is a LEED certified architect, environmental designer, consultant, and educator. Her doctoral investigations at the Harvard Graduate School of Design (GSD) and Harvard Center for Green Buildings and Cities are in the field of thermodynamic materialism, which is an emerging design thinking methodology at the intersection of the fields of architecture and engineering. She has worked with well-known design firms such as SHoP Architects and hMa. She is the co-founder of LINX Architecture, whose work has been featured in Metropolis Magazine. She has taught at the Harvard GSD, Northeastern University, Boston Architectural College, and Pratt Institute. Yazdanseta is a first prize winner of both the International Building Performance Simulation Association Competition Award in Chambery, France and the Harvard Sustainability Grant. Her work has been exhibited at the New York Chapter of the AIA. She is a recipient of the Circle Award Fellowship and was an AIA Women’s Architectural Auxiliary Eleanor Allwork Scholar. Yazdanseta holds a Master of Design in Energy and Environments from GSD and a professional architectural degree (with Honors) from the Pratt Institute.
