Paula has more than 15 years of experience teaching architecture students at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. In addition to teaching undergraduate design studios at Parsons, she has taught furniture design studios, courses on materials & processes, and graduate history & theory seminars at the University of Washington.
Paula has been practicing in New York since 2015 and has extensive experience in wood and metal fabrication. Her work has been published in the NY Times, French GQ, Popular Mechanics, and most recently in Retro & Vintage Design, Braun 2014.
Paula received an MArch and PhD in Built Environment from the University of Washington and attended the Architectural Association in London as part of the Visiting Students Programme. Her research and academic publications are focused on making, Phenomenology, and the sacred architecture of Swedish architect Sigurd Lewerentz.
