    Mandy Kordal has been a part-time faculty member in the School of Fashion since 2016. She has been living and working in New York City area since 2009. 
    She has designed for ready-to-wear brands such as Trovata, J.Crew, and Doo.Ri. In 2013, Mandy served as a Cycle 4 Artist in Residence at the Textile Arts Center, where she continues to teach textile and knitwear courses. 
    After discovering her passion for knitwear, she decided to buy a knitting machine and founded her own eponymous label entitled, Kordal in 2011.  The company currently stocks in the USA, Europe, and Japan. Additionally, Mandy is currently a Venture Fellow at the Brooklyn Fashion + Design Accelerator, a diverse community of entrepreneurs building businesses inspired by design. 
    Her textile work has been exhibited at Invisible Dog Gallery, in the dance film Phrases, with collaborator and choreographer Lauren Slone, and has been covered by press outlets such as WWD and the New York Times. She is a CFDA Illustration Award recipient.
    Mandy holds a B.Sc. in Design from the University of Cincinnati's College of Design Art, Architecture and Planning (DAAP).
